About Accreditation

The University of Gitwe received its definitive operating license on May 11, 2011, through cabinet resolution n°3, under the accreditation of post-secondary institutions by the Ministry of Education. This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing quality education and fostering academic excellence.

Historical Background Of UG

The University of Gitwe was established in 1993 with the approval of the members of A.P.A.G, in response to the pressing need for higher learning institutions in the surrounding regions. This initiative aimed to fill the educational gap and provide opportunities for local students to pursue advanced studies.
